For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by the power of communication. For me, communication is at the heart of everything. Business, life, relationships. And when it’s done well, it seems effortless, but it’s really not. Especially in business. Really good corporate communication requires planning, precision and practice. When these elements align, you’re likely to have a strong successful business performance, motivated staff and loyal customers.

I stumbled into the communications world pretty much by accident. Working closely with former TV presenter and journalist Lee Peck, setting up his consultancy business, I was propelled into the fast-moving, challenging and exciting world of PR. I learnt fast, put my communication and organisational skills to good use, and quickly gained promotions, rising to Account Manager and working with a diverse range of blue chip, national and regional companies across the whole business spectrum.

I further developed with two leading regional PR agencies and then took the leap, starting my own consultancy business while my children were young. That was a long time ago, they’re adult (and brilliant) now. My work has gone from strength to strength as I’ve found my niche. These days, I’m working mainly with charities, service sector businesses, local government, healthcare and education organisations, areas in which I feel I’m making a difference. That said, I’m happy to talk to any good-hearted organisation committed to do better business.

With over 30 years’ experience in PR and communications I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Public Relations Consultants Association.
